Debbie Hoffman, Author, is Director, Training Program Development (Contracting & Acquisition), with Government*Horizons Inc. She hasmore than 20 years’ experience in the federal government contracting information industry. Prior to accepting a position with Government*Horizons, Hoffman served as Director of American Graduate University’s School of Contracting and Acquisition. In this role, she was involved with the Masters of Acquisition Management and Master of Contract Management degree programs, updating content, developing new course offerings, and ensuring training aligned with the needs of the government acquisition workforce. Hoffman was previously director of the Government Contracting Institute, providing training, newsletters, and online services for the contracting industry She has been a guest speaker on contracting, procurement and defense conversion issues at GCI conferences, E-Gov, and the CNN World Economic Congress.

Tom Johnson, Contributing Author, is President and Publisher of Bethesda, MD-based Set-Aside Alert, the only newsletter focused on the small business federal contracting community. Every two weeks it updates subscribers on programs, regulations, legislation, future bid opportunities, teaming partners, newly-certified firms and useful financial, legal and marketing advice-- the information company owners and government managers need to keep pace with in the federal market. It is part of Business Research Services, a veteran-owned small business, which also organizes monthly seminars featuring OSDBU speakers and federal procurement specialists, and presentations at events sponsored by a number of other leading government marketing and training organizations. Tom has been in the federal marketing and sales field for thirty years, has consulted for numerous major government suppliers and is a frequent speaker at seminars and training sessions.

Don Philpott, Editor, is Editor of Homeland Defense Journal, and has been writing, reporting and broadcasting about security, civil unrest and terrorism for almost 40 years – for half of that time as a senior correspondent and editor with Reuters-Press Association, the international wire service. He is the author of more than 70 books and is a regularly contributor to radio and television programs on security issues.
